Review of the Demarini Voodoo

For the vast majority of my life I have played baseball and one of the obvious facts I have realized is that every player has a specific choice in bats. While there are many different baseball bats on the market, the Demarini VooDoo is one of the best. The Voodoo is the ideal bat for every player, regardless of age for several reasons. First, unlike some baseball bats, the weight of the VooDoo is distributed very evenly. This distribution allows the hitter to have a very smooth swing. Secondly, the grip on the VooDoo is one of a kind. The seamless grip allows the batter to comfortably grip the bat where ever he wishes to position his hands. Demarini has also done a wonderful job with the appearance of the bat.
The color scheme is visually appealing but the best addition is the numbers around the top of the bat. Demarini has placed eight numbers around the top of the bat so the hitter can rotate the bat for each at bat. This will allow the bat to last longer and have more pop when hitting the baseball. Perhaps the greatest part of the Demarini Voodoo is the very responsive sweet spot. Unlike the two piece bats, such as the Easton Stealth, the Demarini Voodoo is a much more solid one piece bat and the hitter definitely knows when contact has been made.

In addition the Demarini Voodoo is BESR certified. This means that it is acceptable to use this bat in any high school or college baseball game. A prime example of the Voodoo's greatness is the College of Charleston Cougars. The Cougars are sponsored by Demarini and many of their players use the Voodoo. Charleston lead the nation last year in several offensive categories while on their way to winning the Southern Conference Championship and making a Super Regional appearance.

Not only is the Demarini Voodoo a top of the line bat, it is also a great bargain compared to its competitors. While the Demarini has very similar make and features to the bats produced by other bat companies, it is much more cost efficient. At most stores the retail price of the Voodoo is between $250.00 and $270.00, while bats such as the Easton Stealth Composition sell for as much as $400.00. So if you are in the market for an aluminum bat I would highly suggest the Dimarini Voodoo. Whether you are a serious high school player or just playing in a recreational league, the Voodoo will provide a top of the line quality that will ensure the opposition will never outperform your bat.
