Teens and the Occult
Teens seek the mysterious, the risky and sometimes the down right dangerous. This causes them to be prime targets for interest in the occult in all its forms. While esoteric and sacred knowledge may be useful for those who are trained and knowledgeable, the unaware are in grave danger.
Here in lies the problem for teens and the occult, "Fools rush in..." where spiritual masters tread lightly.
Today more than ever, there is an upsurge of interest in dark magic, vampirism and anything related to magic and the supernatural. I don't believe this is a coincidence. The time for evil's sway on the world nears its climax and subsequent decline. Therefore, the efforts of the Dark ones are heightened and children are an important prey.
Spells, charms and promises for popularity, to be liked and successful all connect teens and the occult. What our young people do not know can hurt them, as nothing is truly free in the spiritual realm, everything comes with a price.
Many cases of demonic possession have come from young people opening doors for negative spirits unknowingly. Engaging in making spells, incantations, automatic writing, Tarot cards and Ouija board play are all typical activities for teens and the occult.
Once again, while I am a mystic and student of esoteric studies, adults must be advised that while some people may engage in such activities and receive benefits, the effects on teens from the occult can be serious and even dangerous.
Without the proper spiritual protection, discipline and training required, a teen may come face to face with negative forces far greater than they can handle alone.
Parents should always survey there children's activities, while striving to be non-invasive. As a parent, you are your child's first line of spiritual defense. Parents need to be aware if there child is developing an unhealthy attachment to dark material, horror movies and witchcraft. Many times this is the subtle path that leads to later demonic invasion.
Teens and the occult are a serious issue in our modern age and early prayer intervention is the best way to be proactive. Developing the art and power of prayer in your child's life can help create a spiritual connection that is both sacred and protective.
